2012 CALENDAR

Please tell me you’ve held letterpress paper before? TACTILE and LUXURIOUS. Letterpress is the oldest form of printing and it literally and metaphorically leaves an impression. Letterpress printing uses an inked plate to stamp raised letters or pictures on to porous thick paper.

We discovered Old School Stationers  — a Portland, Oregon letterpress studio specializing in handmade cards and wall prints — exhibiting at the National Stationery Show in New York City. Owner and artist Brian Reed, introduced us to his sumptuous 2012 hanging wall calendar. Love at first touch.

No computer necessary — Each month was hand-drawn and color separated by Reed into polymer plates and letterpress printed on rich paper stock from Milan, Italy.

The calendar measures 7″ x 9 3/4″, has a petite spiral binding in the center and a hole for hanging.

Despite these digital times, let’s make a 2012 resolution to get our letterpress groove on every month with this distinctive and unique calendar.
